Default power seat control repair question

does anyone know how to remove the handle that adjusts the recline angle of the driver side seat on a 2000 c5? i am replacing my broken power seat control housing and don't know how to remove the handle and don't want to break it (im real good a breaking stuff). i don't see any screws but see a small slot which may do the trick but don't know how to do it. maybe someone can help me out. thanks

The handle is held on with a spring clip. With the handle in its normal position insert a rod or other blunt tool straight down between the seat cushion and the handle and push down while pulling the handle straight out. It's hard to explain but really simple.

GM is sneakey,,,they use a metal clip on the inside of the lever. You need to use something like a coat hanger with a small hook on it to pull the clip off. Just hook it and remove the clip
