HELP! Blew off my upper radiator hose...

HELP! Blew off my upper radiator hose...
I was driving her to the transmission shop and I keep on reving her up to get her moving and blew off my upper hose. Did I do any damage 
my friend said he saw smoke come from underneath the car. He doesnt know if it was from the exhaust or not?

As long as you shut it right down you should be OK. Vette's also have "Camel Mode" for when the coolant is low. Why did it blow off? Bad clamp or is something internally clogged?

I am not sure, as soon as I saw the water shoot out from underneath the hood I shut her down. How would I be able to tell if I blew a head gasket anyway? I hope its fine but I always assume the worst. Thanks for the help.

Put the hose back on (or change it if it looks swollen) re-fill and take it easy for a while. Do you suspect a blown head gasket? If you do, you may want to pull the plugs and make sure none of the cylinders are full of coolant before turning the key to prevent any damage from a hydrolock.

My buddy says that he saw white smoke come from the rear but it could of been because of the water hitting everything causing steam to fly everywhere. But I will check them and take it easy on her.
