Default ET Performance heads

Is anybody running ET Performance heads? How do they compare with AFR 205 heads (these seem to be the best steet/strip heads)? I've heard that the installation is a bit tricky? Do they require a host of other parts (spark plug wires, rocker arms, push rods) and modifications (brackets, etc.)? Anything you know about them would help. Thanks!

It seems to me that people rarely run these heads, I wonder if the silence on this thread supports my suspicion.

They are very good heads. However, they produce two types of heads. One type is ported GM stock castings and the other is their new casting. I believe the one you are likely looking for information on is the new casting. You can check on LS1Tech as well, there are guys over there that run them but mostly on f-bodies, which I don't believe have the same installation questions as on a Vette.

Yes, unfortunately this can be an expensive hobby. I bought a set of the Darts when they first came out knowing I would upgrade to another head later when my budget would allow. With the savings I upgraded to Morel lifters which miami993c297 also has.

I've got the RHS 210s that everyone says is the same as the ETP 215s.I don't have all the supporting mods that Miami993c297 has to make 511 rwhp and my cam is quite a bit smaller(in sig.) but I still made 443 rwhp and 417 rwtq.My tuner says his dyno reads alittle lower than most(10-20).Car runs strong and really comes on around 3500-4000 and pulls hard to the limiter. The only real trouble was the alternator bracket and pushrods.I would say if you plan to use a small cam and not to many other mods then the AFR 205s will probably give you around the same results, alittle less but with less trouble, but if you plan to go with a bigger cam and more supporting mods like fast 90/90 then the ETP 215s will probably get you alittle more power and be worth the extra trouble.Either way you should be happy.

The heads are some of the best on the market. They do have some issues when it comes to installation but its the price you pay for the better flowing head. You will need to move the bottom of the alternator out about an inch with a spacer and the coils really need to be relocated. I used them on my 346" motor that propelled my car to 10.4s @ 132 at 0 elevation.

I also chose them on my latest build and the goals are close to 2k HP.
