confused about exhaust systems
I have a 04 vert which I put a Borla exhaust , vera ram air system and smooth tube on to gain a little more HP. I am thinking about doing the X- pipe and maybe some long tube headers. Any suggestions and how much HP. gain can I expect. Also any input on having a chip put in it to get some more gain Thanks Any input will be greatly appreiated

Forget the Chips, they dont work. Take your car to a real tunner.
LTs and X-pipe plus a great dyno tune are your best bet for more HP.

x2 on the chip. Dont bother. If you search long tube headers you will find plenty of info on them. You have a few options.

get some 3.73's
if you install headers you will get about 30 w/o a tune. Also the vette has a piggy back, so no use for a chip.

just so you know, if you get longtube headers + high flow cats+ xpipe + borla. it WILL be LOUD.
i have this setup and it is very loud and a loud drone at around 1600 rpms.
im 26 years old and dont mind the loudness for now, but have had the thought to switch to some TI catbacks because of loudness of the drone.
if anyone is in maryland and whats to go for a ride or listen just let me know.

With a good tune your setup with long tubes and x-pipe might get you 25 - 30 HP at the rear wheels. This is an excellent starting point for big HP down the road. Your big HP and Torque gains will come if and when you do intake, heads and cam.
