Did you send the EBCM in for a rebuild? I've been troubleshooting mine and believe I'm about to do the same. I took the EBCM off this afternoon and will be sending it to Brandon on Friday. I had the C1214 code and nothing else. Is this what you had or did you have additional TCS codes?

Yes... sent the EBCM in for a rebuild.. I also had on other codes related to the TCS ... Once i reinstaled it i had to clear the existing codes and no problems have been seen. One thing i noticed is if you are going to drive without the unit installed make sure you zip tie the harness away from the belt... it dangles very close....

Thanks for the info. Hope this cures my problem, got the part in the mail today. Not planning on driving until I get the part back, but did go ahead and pull the harness back as you suggested. What about the exposed side of the pump after you remove the EBCM. Does anything need to be put over this to keep dirt, etc. from this part?

I did not cover mine... I only drove it one time... I think it is fine not to cover it as long as you are not driving up and down dirt roads ect... I have seen where people cover it with plastic but again relly think for the few days it will be exposed it will be just fine...

If your not going to drive it, it should be fine. Just be sure to inspect the well good before you reassenble it. Dont want to capture any water, moisture or bugs.

Can you do me a favor befor you reassemble the EBTCM. I need a picture of the inside cavity of the BPMV. Before you put the module back, is it possible to take a digital picture of the cavity and either post it or send it to me??
I can't belive how easy it was to remove the EBTCM. I followed your instuctions and within 20 mins it was out. I checked and cleand the grounds and will send the unit out tomorrow. I hope this takes care of the problem since I was tring to sell the car but the abs was turning everyone away.
Got my EBCM back from absfixer late yesterday and got installed this evening. Started the engine and all the lights went away and checked my dtc's and they were moved to history from current. I'm now a very happy guy! Thanks for everyone's help and to absfixer a job well done!
I just installed the module I sent to absfixer.com for repair. So far so good and no C1214. I will really be impressed if this stays fixed for another 6 - 12 months. It feels good to screw the dealer for a change. Thanks Brandon!
