Got the 1214 HC code, and will send it in to Brandon if needed...but, this just started happening after I disconnected my battery and cleaned the terminals today. Could that have done something beside damage the ECBM?
I doubt disconnecting the battery had anything to do with getting the code. Most likely caused by the EBCM lmany of us here. Be sure and check the grounds associated with the EBCM per Bill's sticky at the top of the Tech forum.
So what is failing in these units? It seems easy enough to fix (hopefully, as mine appears to have failed) if you wanna throw $150 and shipping at it - but what is going on?

Tom
Theres a crappy DELPHI relay inside that fails. You have to PRY the unit apart (Its sealed in RTV Sealer) figure out what relay it is, find one and then replace it.
Its doable but for 150 and a warranty,,,,its easier for most to have it repaired. Here is what is inside:

Why don't you dump your DTC data like I asked in the other post. You could have a bad connection to a wheel speed sensor ... so mailing in the EBCM would be a waste of money as it wouldn't solve your problem.
