Hmmmm...Very interesting. I am going to have to look into that. I did a search a while ago to see if it was possible to convert touring to pace car and didn't find anything. Thanks

I meet the rep. at super chevy, we got to talking (that was in the spring) he was talking about taking the mufflers off and sending them in, so I thought I'd wait til the car was not going to be use, called them and he sent them to me. They just are a piece of exhaust pipe around 1 3/4" long and 2 1/4 id and they go in the inlet side and block off that passage to make them louder. He said you didn't have to tack weld but it would be better and just one little tack would do it. That way if you din't like the sound you could remove them

So its just a small round piece of exhaust tubing that will essentially close off the passages to the "reflective sound cancellation" area of the muffler ? This would essentially create a straight thru muffler right ? Very interesting idea.... Might be something to play with this winter

Can you measure the pieces that Corsa gave you to make sure your measurements are correct ? I want to get a set made up to try.

How far into the inlet side of the exhaust is the "passage" that needs to be blocked off. Do you know which of the 2 "passages" needs to be covered up to make the exhaust Pace Car ?

This will prob make my car way too loud (intake/heads/cam/headers etc...). But it will be fun to play around with My Touring already wakes up my neighbors every time I start it up....

Thanks !

I just installed them today only took 45 mintues or so, would have been a little faster if I didn't forget the clamp on the first one. They slide right down and stop on the pipe inside the muffler, they close off the inlet passage. A little louder at idle, didn't drive the car yet.

Can't want to hear more of the details, and your thoughts on the change ! Congrats ! I look forward to trying this out as a winter project. If I don't like it then its easy enough to remove !

Thanks

I supposedly bought a touring system. i was told to look down the inlet tube and look for openings in the tube. If there were no openings, then it was pace car. I don't see any openings in mine, yet I still think it is a touring system. can one of you guys take a quick pic of the inlet tube? I know it probably wouldn't be easy to get a geat pic, but i would love to see what a touring sytem is supposed to look like.
