Is there somone who knows how many HP it realy is in a Z06 2002-2004.I have heard that it is about 15-20hp more then 405 hp .Is that true???
I was at the 50th Corvette Celebration in Nashville, Tenn. in 2003. Chevrolet had a full Dyno set up with a 2003 Z06 engine on it. It made 405 HP at 6500 RPM. I watched them make this pull twice and both times it was the same result. I have read in Corvette Mag. that the LS2 actually pulled about 407 to 410 HP on the dyno with a rating of 400 HP from the factory.

The last time I checked, dyno's read rwhp, not engine hp. Engine hp is approximately 12% more than rwhp. That would bring the stock '02-'04 Z06, to an approximate 356rwhp. That is what should have been seen on the dyno results. Not 405.
I have not seen any results that would conclude the stock '02 thru '04 Z06's makes more engine HP than 405.

Um....when you put an engine on an engine dyno, there are no rear wheels. As a matter of fact, there isn't even a car.
