C5 Racecar with Tranzilla Problems
In hindsight, I dumped a perfectly good stock tranny for a nightmare.
I have a new LS6 motor, New torque tube, Tranzilla close ratio trans and Rockland Gear 3:90 diff.
The trans. hasn't worked since the first day it was installed. It jumped out of first gear, hit a road block in 5th, and jumped out of reverse.
It was pulled, rebuilt by Rockland, re-installed, tinkered with, and is out AGAIN at this moment. I'm concerned it will continue to have problems. At a cost of $ 5700.00, plus labor and other necessary parts I'm in pretty deep.
Any other experiences putting a Rockland Gear TRANZILLA in a C5 for racing ?

What does Rockland Standard say is going on??
These are assembled from all brand new components, not used stuff......could be a gearset issue from the gearset manufacturer..
Are you sure that you dont have a sticking clutch issue or does your clutch have a really low engagement point ????
I have to say, Rockland Standard Gear and my local shop, Fall-Line Motorsports have been working together to get the right set up. It has been frustrating, and my post was to find out if this was normal or a unique situation.
As of today, Rockland had taken my tranny (bought in August) and installed it in a demo C5 FRC (99') to see what was going on. They determined 1st Gear was an issue, and are sending my local shop a brand new, off the shelf Tranzilla.
There's nothing you can do about lost track time, but hope that we don't have the same issues next year. It's a leap of faith everytime we purchase 'race' parts from our local shops, and we should continue to expect their manufacturer's to stand behind their products.
If I had it to do over again, I'd still buy Tranzilla. For the few events I had driven it (using 2nd, 3rd and 4th), it was amazing!
I did get an SCCA license, and hope to compete Regionally this year.
