I know there are a gazillion posts on battery drain and I have looked through them. Am pulling high amps and draining battery. I followed the "hook the amp meter up and pull fuse" procedure and when pulled mini fuse "25" the amps dropped way off. I am working on an 02 with a 98 FSM so I think some things have changed. The fuse panel cover says BSM 1 and IPC. With the fuse pulled the car will not start. Also unhooked BSM 1 completely and amps did not drop. Any suggestions on where to go from here?
I've experienced exactly the same problem like you did.
My battery was drained in less than 1 day and by pulling the fuse 25 the draw was reduced from 7.xxA to 1.5A when the system was awake and from 3.xxA to 1.5A when the system was asleep after 20 min.
I'm still trying to find out what else the reason could be but I've not experienced any other problems or disfunctions.
just for the record. I've resolved my battery drain problem by turning the interior illumination **** out of the steady light mode. The **** is located under the HUD buttons.

Did the same and did not realize the light was on due to the hatch cover hiding the lights that it turns on.
