I just got back from the shop and Jeff's opinion is that I've snapped the input shaft. They are so booked right now that they won't be able to start the work until late this week :(
Tuan- you ain't gettin' my dry kit...I'd be willing to help you put together a good kit and install it, though
Al- yup, no warranty work for me. I had the last rebuild done out of pocket as well. These jobs can truly be considered my latest and future mods
Mellow- feel free to email me about the forks. I really don't know how beneficial they would be as they have yet to break on anyones car around here. What is your take on them? Why have you chosen to do the upgrade?
Mitch- I appreciate the advice but it ain't gonna happen. Half of the reason I bought this car was to powershift/beat on it. Making up time on a faster opponent by out driving/shifting them is very fulfilling. It is a passion of mine that I will never lose...just don't give me your keys
Do you mean true powershifting without taking your foot off the gas, or just speed shifting fast? Just curious.. I speed shift but don't power shift. Hard to shift fast with stock Hydraulics anyhow. Looking forward to my M/C line mod when I get the car back (it'll be on).
Here are the p/n's. The T56 manuf said that normally if a fork gets bent, it's the 3/4 fork. He said throwing into 3rd is normally the hardest shift on the car. I 'think' this steel fork was designed for the C5R's as they bent forks racing.

Kosta- yeah, we've got an inherent ability for breaking driveline parts. I have been told numerous times by friends that I could break a lead ball if I put my mind to it.
I assume you got your rear end fixed? What exactly broke again? It was one of the output shafts right?
Out of curiousity what does MTI charge for a complete MN6 rebuild? Are they doing anything special while they are in there or just standard rebuild? Curious, thanks.
Cemo-
Sorry about the break down.:( You'll be back terrorizing the streets in no time.
Man, I like the sound of that. Thanks Barry :D
Rob- There is no set figure for a tranny rebuild from MTI. The labor cost is roughly $800 but they said they can't do any more until next year. They're just too booked right now.
That blows... but then again I doubt you are too surprised. Seriously I hope you are back on the rode soon man. As some unknown, yet wise man once said... "if you ain't breaking it, you ain't driving it hard enuff".
