Josh,

Good to hear from ya...no, I'm not suprised I broke it again. HouVette needs to have another get together soon so we can shoot the poopie.

BTW, Tony posted this link on the HouVette message board tonight. You should check it out. It's hilarious!

Thanks
Yes we do! Maybe this time I'll get a kitchen pass, so I can exercise Memorial like I wanted to the last time. Somethings are just better done separately. :)

That video cracks me up! "who's your daddy?!" LMAO!

Well, I finally have a diagnosis report...

I snapped the main/top shaft of the transmission  Damn, I am the MAN! :U

I have been quoted ~$300 for the shaft alone. At least, I am on the roads to recovery

Congrats! My replacement part list is over 40 parts long, 1 being the entire TQ Tube assembly. I believe the description is 'SHAFT'.

That makes the cost of the used ones I've seen seem cheap.

No kidding! There was a used T-56 out of a '97 on eBay w/ a starting bid of $400  It needed a rebuild from what the description said but, c'mon!?! I need to email that guy.

Congrats! What year shaft & p/n did you use?
Did you match the pilot bearing year to the shaft? If not, did you replace the pilot bearing too?

Dayum...I forgot how good this car runs with cold air! The drivetrain feels great, too. I am VERY HAPPY...Thanks MTI!!!! :D

Tuan- sorry for the link b.s...my hosting company is really not cutting it at the moment. The link is correct but my site has been up and down lately.

Mello- I don't have a P/N because MTI handled the GM parts for me. It is an '01 shaft, I'm 100% sure fo that. There seems to be no issues with it and my original torque tube and pilot bearing. Neither were replaced, that's another story all together.

I don't know how much longer I can stay out of the driver's seat :smash: :smash:

Thanks
