The C6Z51 bars are a little better 31.0mm F / 25.4mm R and they are 166.00 new for both from Gene
C5Z06 30.0mm F / 23.6mm R
I would be surprised if the C6 bars fit the C5 since they have different dimensions. I went with the C5 ones.
C5Z51 are 28.6mm F/23.6mm R
C5Z06 are 30.0mm F/23.6mm R
The C5 Z51/Z06 rear sway is the same diameter.
To the OP:
I bought C5Z06 sway bars and aluminum endlinks (you want these for your 98) for about 230 bucks from Gene. I got Bilstein sports for $270 from Vette Brakes and Parts (forum vendor). I also bought new poly sway bar bushings. I used the rubber shock bushings that came with the shocks. I think I was at about $550 for everything.
Bilstein sports are recommended if you want to lower the car at all. The C6Z06 shocks are good if you want to keep it at stock height.
Overall, the C5Z06 bars and Bilstein Sports made a NIGHT AND DAY difference in the ride of my car. It was like a whole different C5. Self install kept the costs low.

That's exactly why I'd like to get it right. I'm about to order my either Addco or BMR sway bars and if I can get these C6's for $166 for both, I'll jump all over them....if they work.
