I used the cluster. It is a direct swap no need to change anything. Well the miles if you want to. If you don't like to read the metric oil pressure and temp gauges you can put yours from the US cluster onto them easily. Now it will first start up in KPH but as soon as you press E/M it will stay in MPH.

Is this a European model or US model?

Anyhow i think it is pretty cool to have 300 MPH even though car wont go that fast.
I only have 453 rwhp but it is ok for me.

If you are concerned about knowing your speed you cold use a cheap GPS with a suction cup mount which will read your speed to well over 500 mph.

Because I can.

Actually, I like the lines of the FRC (Hardtop) way more than the coupe.

I have replaced just about everything on the car, only stock items left on the car will be the doors and rocker panels.

haha i know the car only does 173mph or so. Even the Z only does 199mph. The new ZR1 has a 220mph but that car might actually be able to get over 200mph. Even the fastest cars in the world, the mclaren f1, the bugatti, the enzo, the CCR only go up to 250-275mph on the speedo and they actually can do those speeds, personally its a waste of time, spend the money on something that actually makes the car go faster not makes the car look like it goes faster haha you know what I am saying man.

I do not have a problem with speed in mph.
If you do the math approximate 180 mph equals 289.6819 kmph.
See, it is cool to have 300 kmph speedometer

Furthermore, as we all know, it is illegal to try this at home (on public road) but that's why we have HPDE.

By the way I did not know you have tried my vert???
Hopefully you enjoyed the ride

Quit giving the guy a hard time, it's his car and he can do with it as he pleases. Simply put, the 300speedo is a great show piece, and relatively inexpensive. Besides, there are plenty of C5's that can break well into the 200mph range (220mph or more). I think the coupe was stock around 186 and can likely hit 190 with nothing other than folded mirrors.

I'm all for getting rid of the leather seats. All the years I've had Vette's, the seats were ALWAYS JUNK-especially the leather. Sure put a 300MPH speedo in it (and a sock in your pants)-if you can't back it up-WHAT'S THE POINT?? Why not a MACH meter??

Take it easy.
As far as i'm in control of my FRC it is me who sees the speedometer.

There is not any sock in my pants.
If anyone else has ... I don't even care.

Bottom line is that this discussion is going out of its original purpose and therefore I just wish Happy New Year to everyone and thanks for help and partially great comments.

Don't forget...you need the hood seal to reach over 200mph!
And I agree,it's his car thats the only reason he needs to do whatever he wants if he can afford it.

same point as having an MCM hood on your car I guess.........

you like the look of the MCM hood don't you?
well, he would like to have a 300Mph speedo in the dash to look at.

Oh, and BTW, I'm eventually going to get an MCM hood for my pace car.

Who cares, it's not your car. The OP asked for some information, if you have some info to contribute, great, elsewise move on before one of the mods sends you on vacation for breaking the rules.

You need to take another look at your performance quotes, every single one of them except the stock C5 (173mph) are way, way off.

I'd love a 300mph cluster!

I imported a car from the US and you can probably imagine the laughs I get when my friends think that the C5 is only capable of going 200km/h?

Ah well... at least I have HUD.

I'm french.
In europe we have the 300 km/h speedometer.

(for information I've already gone to 300km/h ... ). The hud stops at 299 ... then I have to switch to mph)

We've got a switch km/h / mph.

300km/h cluster is fun BUT WE'VE GOT A MAJOR PROBLEM !!!!!!!!

All my friends with imported C5 & C6 from the USA have 200 speedometer which IS CORRECT and match to the GPS speed.

Our european 300 km/h speedometer is ... 8% WRONG!

When I plug my computer to the odb2, the pcm is ready the correct speed (same as GPS, 1% wrong) but the Speedo is 8% wrong!!!
All european corvette have the same problem (french, italian, german), it's maybe the european laws

First Question :
Does the canadia speedo act like this???

Second Question :
WTF? how can I correct my speedo to have to PCM speed (real speed) ?

I want this see my real speed!
