I would say it's more on the smaller side but then again I have a cam in the 238/242 range. If your trying to figure out if drivability would be effected, you should retain stock-like drivability with that cam with a slight lope. If you want a little comparison to the cam you mentioned, the cam in your car now is a 204/218 551/541 117.5lsa .

I suggest you read this to get a better understanding of cams and what the numbers all mean.

Not sure why are you considering a reverse split (exhaust duration lower than intake).

Looking for more HP. So I am thinking of putting a bigger cam in.

In general terms, the LSx likes to have equal or more duration on the exhaust side.

I would say it is in the middle range--there are many cams availiable that have less duration and more LSA than that--As mentioned above--i'd be sure about the "reverse split " type as well--unless you were specifically recc. this cam by your builder--i would pick a more conventional type--Also--if you are in an Emisions state that uses the snifter test be careful when going above .224/.224 with a 114 LSA--it will be borderline in passing

a reverse split wont get you more HP, it will give you more under the curve torque. but the 114 LSA negates that.

I run a comp cam 224/224 .581/.581 112, which is a good cam, but not that big. just over 400 rwhp & toruqe when tuned last winter.

If you want more HP, go with a bigger cam. LG G5X2 for example
change your underdrive pully too.

Here is my set up. I am trying to get to the 450+. I don't know if I want a ported fast intake, or to put a bigger cam in...
I love the set up, but would love to get a little more out of it.

429 rwhp SI007 cam 228/222 .588, .581 lift 114.5 LSA , RGR Stage 1 LS6/243's, ( STOCK VALVE ), Comp 918's, Comp Pushrods, Taylor wires, ARP head bolts, SLP Crank Pulley , Port Matched LS6 intake, Raptor XXL and air bridge, SW LT's with no cats, B&B prt catback, Delphi 38# inj. , 3.90 gear (stock rear),

Is that not a big cam? I thought that I would be o.k. with the G5X2.

G5X2 232/240 595/608 112
G5X3 234/242 600/610 112
G5X4 240/244 low 600s 111

432rwhp 406 rwtq G5X-2 cam and LG Pro LT Headers, ported LS6 heads

To get more then you have ( 450+) you will need to go to a BIG cam, or big cubies

Or better heads. My cam's only 228-232, and I have WAY over 450RW.

I'm running a G5-X2 on a 114 lsa, making 436 rwhp and 397 rwtq through stock LS6 heads and boltons.

Yes AIR flow is a huge key here. Not all PP 243s are the same. and were do you want the power?
