Default GMPP Major Guard ROCKS!!!

Just got the 'vert back from the dealer... had the RFA/RKE module and both key fobs replaced. The original problem was Tire Pressure Monitor loosing the front 2 transducers after about 30-40 minutes of driving. Then I noticed the remote entry fobs would only work when I was right next to the drivers door. The car stayed overnight waiting for parts... so I got a rental car too!!! We all know how tricky these electronic problems can be for the service dept to track down.. I had a post here last week and printed the thread out and took that in with the car yesterday... I feel real good about this service deptartment.. they took good care of my car and fixed it (the first time!) plus GMPP paid all but $100.00. Ya gotta love it!!!!

Good to know, since I just got mine from Ken Fichtner for my coupe - I'm running up the miles a little quicker than I anticipated - 36K since Dec 2, 1999...

That's great to hear. My GMPP will take me up until my payments are finished. So far, I've racked up six months of trouble-free operation.

I've seen several posts asking about extended warranties... IMO for our cars with all of the electronic modules....the GMPP Major Gaurd is the one you need... I bought my car used.. it had 22K miles on it and the calendar warranty had expired... I called Ken Fichtner and he quoted me a cost plus deal on the coverage I wanted but was unable to offer it do to the time line on the GM factory warranty expiring.. but he told me that the dealer I bought the car from could back date the GMPP policy to the date I bought the car from them and get me covered... I ended up paying about $200.00 more than Ken's price but after the repair that Parkland Chev (not the dealer I bought the car and GMPP from) did I'd say that's pretty much a non issue any more... man am I glad I bought Major Guard!!! Call Ken Fichtner and get it if you don't already have it!!!
