I have searched but found no pics or a write up on how to do this. I dont know which line to do it on (the slave line or master line). Anyone have any pics?

I never had a problem with pedal feel or the clutch not releasing fast enough. I think this thing is over hyped.
I`m well over the 600 rwhp mark. Stock hydraulics 20K on them...
The bigger question is what is the problem your having that would cause you to do this mod???? May its just something simple if your having a problem with your hydraulics??????
Good Luck....

I am doing a complete clutch change so I might as well while I am in there. I have the sticking pedal @ high rpm

ever road race your vette in the summer @ 100 degrees+ over 30 min @ 150 mph+ and get engine hot as hell ?

That's exactly why I did it...because it made sense to me. It does ease your mind if you have problems..because at least you know its not that !! My problem turned out to be a bad pressure plate and then it still wasn't shifting right at high rpm. Just installed a McLeod adjustable master..seems to have cured the problem.
Good Luck.

No, I think my trans or my 390 gears in the rear would go first...
Question, If I am correct the SCCA must run all stock including hydraulics? I think they are allowed to adjust the computer they seem to be doing pretty well... I think that is what the mechanic told me over at Phoenix Performance Motorsports? They seemed to know a thing or 2 about SCCA cars.

The Drill mod, is to allow fluid to move better. Those who have done the mod, and do not race - How do you knw a 100% complete flush of the hydraulic fluid, wouldn't have fixed the issue.
Now those who DO race, and have done the mod.
Wouldn't switching the entire system over to a higher boil temp DOT fluid, work the same ?

It about volume. The bigger the orfice the more volume of flow you get, similar to porting a manifold, etc ...
I have the drill mod on my Textralia Twin and works well, no problems. I think the major problem with all of these clutch release problems is dirty stale hydraulic fluid and aged rubber seals that just give out due age and heat.
Most hydraulic slaves are located on the outside of the bell housings whereas GM puts them in the torque tube on the vette. Cheap materials also account for some of the problems.
The advent of the remote bleeder and some insulation material around the hose lines should give you some added longevity.

In the past we haven't done this mod, but we have seen a few low mile clutches combined with big horsepower that have shown signs of clutch slippage. Yet having ridden with the owners of the cars, I know that they do not have that clutch slipping, rest foot on clutch... driving style.
There really isn't any harm in doing the mod, you just need to have a small bit more finesse with letting the clutch pedal up.
We are going to try it on a guy that has well over 600hp/600#' tq cause he keeps killing clutches.
