Thanks for the reply, however, master has been replaced as detailed in Post #31 above. Easy 30 minute job but did nothing to help the problem.
For what it's worth, it's easier to replace the master as per the service manual instructions. Take 2 nuts off the windshield washer reservoir and pull the reservoir. No need to remove wheel or inner fender skirt. Also, the quick connect was easy to separate without the "tool". Got it with just one flat screwdriver.

Sorry I missed that. In my case it was easier to do it my way because I converted from an automatic to six speed and that was not in the manual.
Just got done installing a four post with my Bro this weekend to pull out his drive train as his slave bit the dust too.
FYI, back on the road. New LS7 clutch, slave, master and remote bleeder and all is well. Drives great. Right at $1,370 parts and labor. This included the extra labor time for the headers.
Think the problem was the slave but not for certain. It was not leaking.
