Default Need some advise!!

I purchased a Custom Cams Inc. cam, and need to make sure I am not wasting my time. The spec's are as follows. Duration @ .050 221/221 Lboe lift .330/.330 Valve lift 1.7n rocker .561 Lobe separation 114 deg+4

I have a set of new 243 heads complete (Z-06) and want to make sure the springs will be ok? I plan on running a 2800 stall (need to purchase) w/3.15 gears (currently in car) Any ideas?? Thanks!

you'll get the answers you seek a LOT faster if you post this over in the Tech forums...bet you have an answer in no time flat...I'd help you, but you're talking 'Cam'..and it might as well be 'Greek' because I know about as much about that as cams, hahaha!...The little I think I know says that is not an overly agressive cam though..

Thats just a little bit bigger than a stock z06 cam. You'll still want to goto comp 918 springs though. or something along those lines.

Since you have the heads off the car, I would change the springs. Gives you room to grow for the future, and it's a piece of cake changing springs on a bench.

That's a pretty smal cam.....not alot of power gains to be had. 918's are good to .600 lift

It's a nice mild cam--similar to mine--I chose it to pass calif emissions and it did--But its much better than a Z06 cam which has just a little les duration-way less lift and the LSA is the big difference
Deffantely need comp 918 springs--
If you don't have emmisions testing then I'd send it back & get one somewhat bigger- say around .228/.234 @114 lift under .560

Cam selection guide :
Do your homework--study the cams--pick one--then go one bigger !!!
