Changed plugs on my car, 93K miles, and plug colors were dark brown as expected except for number 8 cylinder. It was white with a tannish hint. I interpret this as this cylinder running leaner than the others and think the only thing that could cause that would be an injector that is dirty and flowing a tiny bit less fuel than the others.
Does this sound like a correct diagnosis?
If it is, can I replace a single injector (same OEM part number as others) or should I replace all of them? I am pretty sure replacing an OEM injector with an aftermarket unit or maybe even a later model OEM that ostensibly flows the same rate but has a different part number wouldn't be a good idea.
The car is a daily driver and I do not thrash it hard enough to tax the stock injectors, so a higher flow aftermarket injector wouldn't be of benefit.
