Is there some trick to getting old coolant lines off. I started swapping mine out last night and got about half way done and the only thing that worked for me was cutting them off. After 5 years, it feels like they're glued on.
I made a tool
I took a small screwdriver, heated it and bent it at a 90 degree angle.
Then ground it smaller so I could slide it between the hose anf the fitting.
I've seen then on sale before but don't know whay they are called.
It was easier to just take a junk screwdriver and make one.

Great idea!
I've used screwdrivers with a little grinding to round the edges, but hadn't thought of bending one. Sounds like a good use for a cheap screwdriver!
