My concern isn't with the piping (piping is Piping) it would be with the filter element. Weather or not the diameter of the pipe is correct for the corvette is one thing, but the quality of the filter is nothing to look past. I wouldnt run anything that was not tested and proven with a big name in our industry..
Just save the $68 and stay with the stock air filter element. Any filter that is less restrictive, will also be allowing more dirt to pass through.
How much does and engine rebuild cost?

True Cold Air kits suck air from outside your engine compartment area, that tube and filters just suck the same hot air that is near your engine.
I was going to go with the Hurricane system http://www.westcoastcorvette.com/p-1...ke-system.aspx to get as much cold air as I could but after hearing how getting to the filter is a pain in the arss, I went with a simple K&N filter althou that dual intake does look cool.
I say go for it. If you don't like it you can go back to stock and I didn't cost you an ame or a leg.
Those thing aren't any more a cold-air kit than your stock setup; to get the advantage of better air, you need something like VaraRam, Callaway Honker, or Hurricane that draws air from outside the engine bay.
I've had stock airbox, Z06 airbox & Blackwing. All were about the same in 1/4 mile runs. Switched to Callaway Honker, 1/4 mile runs improved, both ET and mph.
It's not so much about getting more air, it's about getting better air. PCM pulls timing when Intake Air Temp goes up.
That is 100% correct. I have the Vortex Ram Air, 100% OA. The others are taking air lower in the engine compartment, but it is still the engine compartment.........high temps and humidity.
