Default 228r Cam

I have a 99 C5 and would like to know if anyone on here knows how much power I can expect with just the cam (228R from TSP), full exhaust, haltech stinger intake, and a tune.

Not sure about on vettes, but I believe there are some guys w/fbodies that have cracked 400whp with that cam and stock heads. I think its good on average about +20rwhp on the 224R cam. Hope this helps.

I was at 370 RWHP with the TR 224 cam. You'll get plus or minus 10 RWHP on any given dyno

I replaced the TR224 114 with a 228R 114 which is good for an additional 10 RWHP according to TSP.

when I was calulating my math, I figure I started at 370 RWHP so I added 10 RWHP for the cam which would bring me to 380 RWHP. I figured an addition 40 RWHP for the AFR heads. So for my math, I figured Id end up with 420 RWHP which is exactly where I wanted to be. When I had the car dyno'd, I ended up with 425 RWHP / 400 RWTQ with 3.90 gears. I was very happy my math was accurate. Then I added a ported FAST 90/90 but I didnt have it dyno with those numbers. I figure the 90/90 is good for 15-20 RWHP.

see sig for numbers and idle video

I made 399 rwhp with the 224 cam and .581 lift. The 228 cam with a588 lift and underdrive pulley made 417.

224/224 581/581 112 with an 03 and polished 243 heads and 981 springs. Lots of other bolt ons ~ 402rwhp/405rwtq.
We played around with the tune and several parts. We could have gotten more HP but then would have less tq. I wanted the SOTP TQ.
