The eXo-Skel is twin disc for competition use or extreme HP and the Z is single disc for big HP also, but a bit less clamping power so it's for a lesser HP motor than what the eXo-Skel would be required for. If you are super charged or TT'd and you have the extra $300 you are going to want the eXo-Skel. Do it right the first time.
I'm making 428rwhp and 408rwtq, I'm shopping around for an OZ700-Z grip right now. From what I'm told, the "x" grip is just about the same thing as a stock Z06 clutch. Which means it doesnt hold up after a lot of abuse.

Reason: Corrected info.
The above is 100% incorrect. Both are single disc clutches.
The Z grip is the original OZ700, a 6 puck style disc. Fairly aggressive in engagement, but still streetable.
The newer X grip is a full faced disc, a little smoother and more forgiving for street usage.
The Exo-Skel is Textralia's dual disc clutch.

I have the "X" and am very happy with it. Patrick G runs the same clutch with a lot more power than I have as well and he told me his wife can still drive the car. Here is the "X" compared to the Z06 that came out of the car. The one I find intriguing is the new ZR1 twin that GM is using, that one could provide a very streetable high horsepower alternative in the future, but we'll wait and see.
thanks for the pics. i might wait a month or so before i get one or not, not sure yet. its so cold in the garage, so i might wait, then again i might not . i call around and see were i can get the best price
