Default Oil Sensor Fails Again

Just had the oil pressure sensor changed in late December. Once again, it's pegged to 130. Is it likely the sensor is blown again? It worked fine for a month, so is it likely the mechanic isn't to blame? I'd just like to get a better idea of what went wrong before spending the money for another 4 hours labor.

Shouldnt have to pay four hours labor if you had a GM dealer do it. 1 yr warranty on all parts and labor from GM.....

I felt your pain 2yrs ago but I changed mine out myself. It really isnt hard at all and requires only a few common hand tools. Total time from start to finish was 3hr's. That was the 1st time doing this. I have since removed the intake for other mods, and it only took me about an hour. I bought my sensor from Advanced Auto instead of the dealer. I cant recall the brand off hand. You will find more info if you do a search if you decide to do it yourself. You will save a lot of money and have the piece of mind that it was done right.

I've heard quite a few instances where guys are on their 2nd or 3rd sensor

Looks like this could be your answer:
