C5 Lift Plate

anyone have one of these? attaches to floor jack to lift front or rear of C5. wondering if it's better than using a piece of wood.

Doesn't seem like this is necessary.

You can easily lift the front with the crossmember in front of the transfers front leaf spring and easily lift the rear just behind the rear transverse leaf spring.

That plate would make it harder/impossible to get the floor jack under the car. Its already hard enough.

I use a treated (harder) 2X6 inch piece of wood. The advantage of the metal piece is that it has "edges" that would align it.

Not a bad item to have.

I use to use a wood block, then I got a (4) post lift. If I did not have lift I would get one for myself.

I use a 5 lb barbell weight that I glued a sheet of rubber to. The weight spreads the load to the vertical section of the cross member. Its about the only time I lift anymore
