The first 10 times I added 3M double-sided tape to it and cleaned the heat exchanger with alcohol before sticking it back together. What a PITA! I have seen the same type of foam material in strips for sale at Home Depot, Lowes etc. if you want new ones.
Now I don't even use those strips anymore. I have'nt notice the car run any hotter either.
The foam seals began to loosen and move out of place on my 1999 Coupe soon after I purchased the car new. I used black silicone sealer to "glue" the foam seals in place.
The quality of the part is very poor - a classic example of cheap materials used in production.
I didn't have any on mine....... It must have blown ( :jester ) out, or been discontinued. I don't believe it would make much difference one way or the other.
