and get check engine light - what does BCM stand for
I can clear it but keeps coming back - have an a4 01 dynamaxx long tubes and vararam, dynoed about a yr ago- gone thru 3 sets of sensors - that what the dealer has found wrong - warranty company getting upset --
codes appeared again today - been about 4 months since last set of sensors -now that i think of it happens about every 4 months
any ideas, help
Thx Len
INCORRECT .... The brake computer is referred to as either the EBCM (Electronic Brake Control Module) or EBTCM (Electronic Brake Traction Control Module)

Body Control Module (BCM)
The Body Control Module is located under the carpet in the passenger footwell (to the left of the fuses).
The BCM controls the SECURITY system (both the Content Theft Deterrent and the Vehicle Theft Deterrent), vehicle lighting, and coordinates locking/unlocking the car when the RFA picks up the key fob signals.
A U1064 does not set the CHECK ENGINE light. You have a Pxxxx code set in your PCM, check again and post the code(s).
The Uxxxx codes are set by a computer when it decides it is unable to communicate with another computer on the network. They can usually be ignored unless there are other symptoms indicating a problem with the serial data network.
thx will wait til it happens again - inthe past they occur a lot once they start
Had an SCM - code today went to fast to write number is there a way to stop them so you can write down

When the display has finished flashing through the codes it will stop and say something like "Manual Diagnostics". Press the OPTION button and the DIC will scroll through each computer in the car. To see a previous computer press TRIP.
To see an individual code press GAGE. If a computer has more than one DTC set each time you press GAGE it will show the next one .... FUEL will reverse and let you see the previous code.
If you want to delete a code, press and HOLD the RESET button.
The E/M button will take you out of the DTC Display and return the DIC to "normal" operation.

If you are using a window Valet, the BCM does not like it because it interferes with the communication. Pull the window valet and clear the codes, if the U1064 doesn't reset I'm right. if it does set U1064 again I have no idea what is causing it.

I have dynamaxx Longtubes and was getting O2 Codes, traced it to a faulty O2 sensor and its been fine ever since.
My headers are ceramic coated inside and out to keep as much heat inside them for O2 sensors as possible. need 600F for the rears to lite up.
