Seriously, does the town you live in have a leash law for pets? If your neighbors are just letting their animals roam the neighborhood to crap in everyone's yard, perhaps they won't miss them if animal control picks them up. There is more than one way to skin a cat (pun intended).
I have the same problem, cats ( ours ) I just try to keep the car covered ... and I scold them whenever I see them on the car ... doesn't seem to help though.
it may be a bad suggestion, but i had this happen when i had my 350Z, f*cker would get up on the hatch and camp out. one night i waited and once again he got on my car. he had no fear of cars or me as it was a "domesticated" cat... problem is, i had told my neighbor time and time again about this problem and they did nothing. so like i said, i camped out and waited on a weekend night, with my paintball gun and a full hopper of paint. walked up to the cat. it looked at me, i looked at it. i took aim at point blank range and proceeded to coat the ****er. havent seen him since my neighbor did ask me if i had seen the cat and i told her no.
Get a cover... If you know which path the cats are taking toward your corvette... Try putting a scratching post in the path just before they reach your car. May sound funny, but you ARE parking your corvette outside
The bad thing about the cover is its instinctual for cats to claw before they lay down... (like kneading dough). Starts when they are kittens trying to suckle milk... So you MIGHT come outside to a pack of cats napping on your new cover...
I would say the only thing thats really going to stop the cats is a garage....
And yeah,, I am a firefighter and yeah... I have saved a couple cats from trees before

Gotta take it up with the neighbour. They are responsible for their cats. I don't think anyone should be hurting the animal as they don't know any better. Neighbour needs his or her neck rung if they don't try and curve the problem for you. If you have a garage lmaybe leaving it inside is the best option?
They just sharpen their claws on my cover like a carpet tower I guess.... But may help some... I'll have to start putting it back on... Thanks
I figure they don't like the way it slides a bit when they jump up. I've seen cats try to jump on the car - the cover slips on the wax, and the critter jumps down.
There's always something. I live in a walnut orchard, and rats try to winter in my garage. I find tiny footprints, put out a couple of pounds of Just One Bite, and the garage smells foul for a few days. Cats are a minor inconvenience. Living in the country, my son has been known to shoot paintballs at strays that get too close to his car. But the covers have helped.
I suspect the new cover on my vert would be a good scratching post. It's fitted to the car, and doesn't have the ability to slide as much as the more generic ones.
Short of harming the cat, you might try waiting around with a garden hose. Or maybe go to the local garden center and get some type of animal repellent. I know you can get lynx urine for deer, for example. But that stuff might just attract cats. Good luck!

Cats can not be reasoned with, and it's not your responsibility to tend to them.
Demand the owner of said cats reimburses you for any damage and immediately takes the cats inside permanently or calls animal control to take them. You told him once, that is enough. Don't let people walk all over you.
