What is your problem? Are you sure it is the motor? Usually it is the plastic gear that is stripped, that prevents the headlight from operating. You can install brass ones.
I believe Corvette Central sells a rework service for the motors for $99. Gene or Frictner's would have best price on motors.
There are a lot of components to the headlight system, motors, gears, modules, etc. It is very expensive to just replace parts. Let us know your problems (and the year of your car), I can get you the shop manual troubleshooting.

It's a 99... The headlight goes up and down like normal, but when it goes down - after it's down - a nasty grinding sound occurs for like 8 seconds... It just started one day, it's loud and embaressing... There's been about 4 times since it started making this noise, that it goes down normally without the noise..
It's been occuring for about 3 months now... Annoying!!!!!
I not sure I understand why broken teeth or damaged teeth on a gear would allow the head light to work correctly but make a loud noise... I would think if a gear had damage the headlight wouldn't work or would have difficulties functioning.

I had same problem in my 99...eventually it wouldn't go down one day, yet always made the grinding sound. So after looking around on the forums I went on "the bay" and found a whole new motor assembly from the National Corvette Museum. $75 for a brand new motor. An hour with a mechanic friend and all was well. Opened up the old motor and rubber, plastic teeth everywhere.
It is the gear. It is annoying. It is not difficult to fix. Instructions are on this site. I did not even unplug th motor. I did, however drop the wrench underneath the assembly and had to take apart the plasic covers under the front to get it. Don't drop anything. I also had to fix the Pop up problem that will come at some point. The headlight goes down, then pops back up. Design flaw, solved with washers. Also instructions on this Site! It's Beautiful!
Wow that was easy. I replaced the gear and now have a beautifully sounding headlight. Now i just need to convince the wife that the $300 I saved by doing it myself needs to go into a mod account.

The nylon gear starts to stripe out at one or several areas on the wheel gear. The very high pitch grinding sound is the two gears slipping past each other but can still move the gear operation so the headlights raise or lower. It will eventuality fail and stop operating the headlight's movement
