Well, I suppose it doesn't really matter how it happened. That sock was hard to swallow by the way (have the iraqi desert boot foot) lol. Get that head off of there and check her out..if you do end up having some bent valves you're gonna want to get the head checked out. Mine was cracked when it happened to in my Camaro. If you do end up needing some good stock heads for cheap, let me know. I'll have a set off of my Vette here pretty soon.
Alright, so I finally took the heads off and on the one cylinder on the driver side(where the noise was) there was some gooey ****. It was thick and had a greenish black color to it.(My coolant is pink) It felt like oil, dirt, and something else mixed. I'm not sure right now, but I'm going to say head gasket until we further inspect the heads. More info in about 2 days.
Everything so far looks ok, except the valves need to be re-seated. Head Gasket isn't torn or anything so I'm not sure what's wrong. I'm going to get new gaskets anyway and put her back together, more info soon.
You guys amaze me. Not afraid to just get in there and pull valve covers, rip off heads etc. I guess since its my daily driver I can't do that but I've always wanted to be able to do things like that. I'd like to take the heads off and have them cleaned and checked etc by a machine shop.
sounds like your intake has some crap in it. chunky enough to hold a valve or two open??? I would inspect the manifold while it is off and maybe pull the filter to see if it let something go by....PCV valve, mouse?
Good luck
Well both sides are about 200psi now and I haven't put it all back together yet, that's tomorrows project. But I'll let you know if it runs like new or not.
Ok well everything is back together except for the headers because they are a pain in the ***. It won't start, it just cranks. The error code I received was p1626 which is a Theft deterrent fuel circuit. I searched all over the internet for a fix and every site tells me something different. Apparently what is happening is the computer isn't receiving a signal so it thinks I'm stealing it and cuts off the fuel. How can I fix this problem? My key is clean, everything appears connected and grounded. All my fuses are good. I don't know what to do.
Until you get that DTC to clear, your up the creek. If you have another key try that. Clear the DTC and observe the DIC and see when the DTC reappears. Like during the ignition on or during the crank period or as soon as you insert the key.
Either way, the ignition switch is NOT reading the resistor pellet on the key. Could be a bad ignition lock. The small wires that read the pellet can go bad. Dip the key in alcohol and while its still wet, insert it in the ignition. This might be enough to clean the contact i the ignition key cylinder.
I tried the other key as well. There is no security error or nothing, but when when I move it to 'ON', I notice that the fuel doesn't build up. So what else could it be besides the key thing?
Everything is connected and grounded. I just can't figure it out. My buddy is coming over later with the ohm tester and we'll see what happens. Any other ideas?

The P1626 sets when the PCM is not getting a valid "fuel enable" message from the BCM via the Class2 serial data bus. If this had occured when the engine was running the PCM would have gone into fail-enabled mode and you would still be able to start and drive the vehicle. This must have occured on trying to start the engine.
When you display codes, I'm gonna assume that the BCM responds with NO CODES rather than NO COMM .... correct ??
Is the PCM or the BCM listing any Uxxxx codes ??????
Sure sounds like the BCM is not talking to the PCM .... which will give you some Uxxxx codes.
Is there any chance that a P1631 has been displayed ?? That would indicate the PCM is getting the password, it just isn't the correct one.
So I tried a bunch of little things, and now I get no error codes, but.. when you turn the key, there is still no fuel pressure. (I can usually hear it). and of course it doesn't start. I don't know anymore. I know the engine is good and everything is back together correctly. Anything else?
