Default electrical question

So my battery voltage has always read low on the dic. It reads about 11.6 when just sitting w/o the motor running. When I put a fluke on the battery it reads 12.5ish. Is the dic just off or is this a symptom of a bad ground or a bad power connection. It has a newer battery and a newer alternator.

I have the same problem. Voltage on DIC is like 12V and the back of the alternator and battery is 14.5V.

Got a PM from a GM mechanic about my post saying that you need a Tech2 to adjust the signal into the PCM to correct gauge.

I know that mine agree, as they should since they are d=getting the signal from the same place the "PCM".
