Default bleeding clutch w/ Remote bleeder

ok I put in a motor, during the process, I did a new clutch, slave cylinder, drill mod, and remote bleeder.

I cant seem to get pressure at the pedal to save my life. Ive pumped forever and cant get it to work..

some flid will come out of the bleeder on very speratic shots.. but Im not getting anything worth mentioning.

There are no leaks at the slave cylinder lines, or anything.

Anyone have any information or insite to keep my sanity here... Does it take a long time to bleed with the remote bleeder?

Maybe when you did the drill mod, the line somehow got clogged???

It took several pumps before I got fluid. The GM manual tells you to press pedal to floor and then open bleeder, close bleeder and release pedal. After speaking with Peter at Textralia, he recommends opening the bleeder, pressing the pedal down to the floor and holding, closing the bleeder then releasing the pedal. It worked for me this way.

Also worth noting, the pedal wouldn't come all the way up during the process and had to be coaxed. Once we stopped bleeding and pressed the pedal a couple of times it has been normal since.

Can you do this with the Motive bleeder? Will it help? No idea, just wondering for the future.

Not sure on that one. Might be worth someone trying it on an old slave/master if they have one laying around.

Im not getting a constant stream of brake fluid coming out of the bleeder line? It barely comes out as little puff.. My pedal is constantly soft, after pumping it atleast 100x

Is something not right here? It doesnt appear to have any pressure what so ever...

Is the connection between the two firmly connected? I think they shut flow when you disconnect so if the connection is not in good maybe it is preventing the fluid flow.

Next thing I might try is if you can get the connection apart and have the old slave, connect the old one, open the bleeder (do this over a bucket or something) and see if the master is pushing the fluid.

You should be able to slide the white clip back fully out of the joint.

Well, if you are able to press in the pedal then your lines are connected.

You would not be able to press in the pedal if they were not as the end line would not be open to allow fluid to flow.

I used a self bleeder with and one of the those one man small bleeder cups. I put a little brake fluid in the cup and hoodked it up to the bleeder.

I then just craked the line a bit and pushed the pedal a few times very slowly.

I then closed the bleeder valve, added mor fluid and did it one more time and had a very firm pedal.

The trick is to push the air out, by pushing the pedal slowly.

Are you sure that you have the lines connected to the proper fittings on the slave and not switched? The upper most fitting on the slave is the bleeder line.

Was the master cylinder and old slave cylinder functioning properly at teardown? Maybe a new master cylinder is also needed?

after bleeding for about a hour I can only get a inch worth of pedal out of it.

when we do open the bleeder we can clearly feel the pedal drop but its just only coming up a inch.. Its definately not enough to drive it..

What gives? Ive read posts where people had little to no problems and I cant seem to get it right to save my life. Ive heard where people use a vaccum pump and that doesnt seem to work..

im close to replaceing the stock mastercylinder but im not sure if that will help..

Am I missing something here or do I just need to keep trying?

Your connections should have looked like this. Top one is bleeder, bottom connection is to master.
