Help.....car Stalls
Okay, a couple of weeks ago the car started doing some funky stuff. After starting the car, it would stutter. By stutter, I mean that all the power would go off and then back on but would be so quick that it wouldn't kill the engine.
Fast forward to yesterday, I drove the car to the office, it sat for a few hours and then when I went to leave for lunch, the car started then died. Started again, backed up about six feet, died, started died, started, died. I got the car to run long enough to pull back into the stall, left it there and took the wife's car to lunch.
When it was time to go home, I started the car and drove home, no issues. Started it up today, took my boy to school, back home, then back to the office. No issue. Went to lunch, no issue.
What the.......??????
Oh, one other thing, I always like to keep the DIC blank. When the car stutters, the DIC has the odometer reading on it. I'll blank out the DIC and the next time it stutters, odo will come back on.
The stuttering has happened about 10 times total, yesterday was the only time it died.

do you have any mods to your engine? tune? cam? other bolt ons?
all mods done were done a couple of years ago. there was a tune done when the rear was switched to the Z06 rear in order to adjust and optimize shift points in the tranny. but like i said, that was a couple of years ago.
stock cam, heads, etc.
this problem just popped up out of the blue.
i read through your thread hoping to find an answer there too!!
btw, where is prva?

First place I'd look is at the ignition switch. Do you have a "heavy" key ring ... one of those that has every key you've ever owned, including the keys to that Jeep you sold 14 years ago ???
With the car running - try wiggling the key in the ignition lock ... does the key easily turn back towards the ACC position .... does the symptom of "stuttering" occur as you play with the key ???
If that is not the obvious problem, second place I'd look is the engine grounds ... see Bill Curlee's EXCELLENT sticky at the top of this forum for more information on cleaning the grounds, especially for the engine.
