Default Removing driver's side carpet

I am insulating under my front carpets. Passenger side came out with no problems. Driver's side, I am still stuck on getting the front portion of carpet loose. I am assuming the dead pedal on left and the stop underneath the gas pedal must be removed? I removed two 10mm bolts on the dead pedal but it still does not want to come out. On the plastic stop underneath the gas pedal I have both 10mm nuts loosened, but apparently they do not come all the way off.

Any tips?

The NUTs need to come all the way out. Pry UP on the stop while attempting to loosen and remove the nuts. They should come right out.

Thanks Bill,

I just wanted to make sure there was not some type of hidden connector or something to break off. I apparently was just being a bit too gentle. I got a large screwdriver behind both and they pried right out.
