A4 fall on it's face
Seems like some hesitation between 1st and 2nd shifts when really getting on it. I did a search and found nothing. I talked to a friend of mine with a 04 and he is getting somewhat the same results. Is this normal?

With the shifting being as sloppy as described you could do a few things:
1) Use a handheld to firm them up
2) Get a Shift kit (I think there's a TransGo in the parts section)
3) Have a pro set the shift points and find the HP that was left on the table at the factory.
I have a '98 and will be going to Henderson Performance (New Braunfels) on the 26th of this month to have mine done and I can't wait. I've read a lot of threads here on the forum regarding performance and it seems that a professional tune is mentioned quite a bit.
