Default Will 10w-40 cause any issues??

I use strictly 10w40 in my other vehicles, and for simplicity sake, I would like to stick to using just that so i dont have several cases of oil just sitting around. Being in az, and the cars always being garaged the oil temps never go under 70 degrees or so. I searched and couldnt fin any hard evidence that this weight of oil will cause any issues but I wanted to make sure before I went ahead and did the change.

TIA!

Default 10w40

The 10W40 will not cause a problem especially living in Arizona. Go for it!

Are you going to use non-synthetic oil in your C5? I would advise against that. GM specified synthetic oil to save money by not having to put an oil cooler in the C5. The high oil temperatures, especially where you live, could compromise regular oil.

I worked for Honda, people that would run heavy oil 10-40 would start using oil. What was happening is the oil control rings on the bottom of the piston, would gum up and the rings would not hold enough pressure on the cylinder wall. Just a heads up.
