I AM TRYING TO INSTAL A CATCH CAN WITH THE CHROME PULLEY COVER. IF I RAISE THE CAN UP SO THE HOSES GO OVER THE COVER THE CATCH CAN RUB AGAINS THE FUEL RAIL COVERS WHICH ARE CUSTOM PAINTED. THUS ELEMINATING THE IDEA OF CUTTING THE COVERS.
LOOKING FOR FORUM MEMBERS WHO INSTALLED THE CATCH CAN WITH THE PULLEY COVER FOR HOW THEY DID IT. ALSO PICS WOULD BE OUTSTANDING. THE PATH FOR THE HOSES SEEMS VERY TIGHT
CATCH CAN GOING IN A 01 VETTE
THANKS

Fred, which catch can do you have? I have an AMW. I bought 6' of PCV tubing and mounted my can on the frame up in front of the radiator housing next to the passengers headlight. The idea was to have a longer path for the oil vapors to cool and to put the can in a cooler area to help it work more efficiently. If you did that you would eliminate the problem entirely.
I have the one from Chip. I was trying to mount it off of the block as seen in most of the installations.
Happen to have a pic of yours. I believe I understand where you installed it. Any problems with the hoses going to the front and then back to the block??
The other issue is the chrome pulley cover. How do you run the hoses so it looks neat?
Thanks
FRED

I mounted mine from Chip on the top hole on the block. Then I recieve my chrome pulley cover and it was at first looking like I could not have both. I measured the left side of the pulley cover I believe 2" from the left edge and drew a line from top of the cover down to where the bracked/hole mount is. I tapered the line down to the bracket (from the straight line) and cut it in my band saw using a metal blade. I then bent the bracket that mounts to the block back 180 degrees making the bracket stick out instead of sticking inside of cover. Mount the cover first then the catch can. I'll post a pic here in a minute.

NEAT installation. You bent the catch can bracket 180 or the pulley cover bottom bracket 180. Any chance of a better pic of the attachment area?
Thanks For the neat pics and ideas.

Bent the tab for the cover. If looking at the cover from the pic, the tab bends away from you (original). Bend the mounting tab back towards you, this moves the cover back towards you as well when mounting. The front of the cover does not "snap" in around the throttle body but does seem to present no problem.
On the catch can, I put a spacer behind the mounting bracket to move it away from the rail covers.
You mounted the catch can first and then the pully cover tab? With the spacer Do it wobble? or steady. I thought with the spacer the catch can would not be as secure.

spacer is between the block and the bracket for the catch can to move it out for clearence to the rail cover.
