Default window still wont work

I just removed the door panel and i hear it click when i hit the window button but nothing happens. I tried banging the regulator with no luck. Should i just buy a new regulator or does anyone have any more suggestions. I also tried slamming the door and pushing the window down with my hands . ty

Try banging on the DOOR Controller module while you press the up-or down switch and see if that makes a difference. Sounds like you have a bad relay inside the module. If the contacts are burnt, agitation of the module may allow it to work to prove that the module is at fault. If it is, you can replace the module or just fins and solder in a new relay.

tried that with no luck. How can you tell if its the regulator or a relay problem, also would i be able to hear it click if it were a relay problem?

It is probably the motor. If you want to check the relay, remove the door speaker and reach in and unplug the regulator motor. Put a volt meter on it and push the down button. You should see 12 volts. If you don't, it is the relay, if you do, it is the motor. While you have the speaker out, get something to fit in the hole and tap on the motor while you press the down button. ( You have about 3 seconds before the relay will click off ). If the brushes are stuck on the motor, it should come down. If they are real bad, it won't. You could also attach some wires to the motor and then put 12 volts directly to the motor for a check.

90% chance it is the motor. You can buy just the motor at your local auto parts store or pop for the whole regulator assemble. Beating on the door is just a temporary fix. It will stick again. Just change the motor out and once a week, roll the window down and up. It will last a lot longer with a little use.
