i got rid of mine and went with bilsteins. lowered ride and now love the car all over again. I still have my F45's and would love to get rid of them. if yours are worn i am selling for 100 shipped for all 4. they got 80K on them but they have no codes and still work great.
Eliminate. I enjoyed it while I had it, but we had to remove the sensors when my APS TT went it. I opted for Bilstein Sports, and boy am I glad I did. The ride compared to the F45 is unbelievably better in all ways. Stiffness, response, and cruising quality were all improved. The car no longer felt mushy when riding around, it felt like a Corvette should.
Got 140K miles on my 98 vette with F45 suspension and T1 bars. I’m changing the rear shocks (Fronts are new and less than 2 years old) so:
1. Pay $$$ for the Ac Delco and keep the selective real time dampening?
2. Change front and rear with Koni or Bilstein and disable it?
Guys that got the system deleted, any advice?
Thanks
option 2! F45 cannot compare to Bilstein Sports To delete the F45, you need to use a TechII from dealer. Before removing the option, unplug the harnesses for the control box in the back left trunk compartment.
I am in the same boat you are in. When I had new tires put on a while ago, they showed me that the rear driver side tube is leaking, so it is just a matter of time before I have to do something. I have been told that only GM sells the replacement, but I have heard it is a delphi system from some, and a bilstein from others. In any case, I have been tempted by some great prices on coil overs, which would still be more than the Bilstein Sports.
Does anyone know how long it will take for my money tree go grow?
