replacing the heater core

If your heater core was leaking , you would smell the antifreeze, if you dont smell it, this forum just saved you alot of time and money... check those utters...

I had a friend who had a SOAKED passengers carpet (in a truck)and it was all ANTIFREEZE! I asked him if he knew his heater core was leaking and he said NO. What brought it to my IMMEDIATE attention was the small when I opened his passengers door. He said he didn't smell anything abnormal.....
Then he said, "my windshield fogs up a lot".
So,,for some people, the smell test may not be a valid one.

someone please help...I have the complete dash out of my c5, but I still cannot get the hvac box out of the car. It seems to be stuck behind the main center beam.
I tried unbolting the beam and moving it, but the way it is lodged in the car from side to side, it doesn't want to move. What am I missing?
I assume I need to move the beam out of the way. It almost wants to come out but I don't want to put anymore force than I already am pulling on the box. The emanual
I have says moving the beam, but it does a poor job of explaining it.

Yes sir...I was able to get it out. I actually made a video on the complete ac replacement dash and all on youtube. You can search my name and probably find it. Let me look for the link too....
