I pull the car out of the garage this morning, started right up as it has always.
I am done cleaning, get in the car to start up to put it back in the garage, and it wont do anything. No starter action whatsoever. When you turn the key to start the car, i hear silence. If i leave the key to the crank position and engage the clutch in and out, i can hear a relay clicking under the passenger floorboard.
Look at Bill Curlee's thread on electrical information.
I had similar issues and it turned out to be two issues (ignition switch and grounds corroded) The grounds were located by headlights on drivers and passengers side of engine. They just required removing connection and thorough cleaning. I would try to grounds first. Bill has an excellent schematic on all the grounds and locations on a C5.

What can this be?
I had the same problem and it was intermitting. It ended up being my starter. If you are hearing clicking in your passenger floor board, that is your TDR relay. I would get under the car and make sure the proper volts are making it to the starter via the red battery cable. You should also make sure that when you turn the key that power is coming from the purple wire to the starter. This is the wire that comes directly from the TDR relay.
I also had the same problem after I bought mine. The previous owner had put in 3 new batteries. Mine was intermittent but after getting under the car I found that the battery cable nut on the starter solenoid was loose. It melted the solenoid so had to replace the starter.
In fact,,,,I'm picking up a NEW SOLENOID for mine tonight! $20 at the local Starter/ Alternator repair place! Its doing the same thing as yours! When mine fails if I tap on my solenoid/starter, it will crank every time!!
So, check all of your connections (don't forget the negative wires) and make sure there clean and tight.
How old is your battery? I think that's the first thing you should mention. A bad cell will produce what you are seeing as well. Even a less-than-good terminal connection will cause no-starts.
