The $400 price is with gauges. I don't see the C5 pillar on the website but the dual for the C6 without the gauges is only $75. A little expensive but that's Corvette tax at work for ya.
yeah haha I was going for the bling effect of the pillar since everyone around here as them whether they have FI or not haha. I decided to invest in something that will actually help the cars performance instead.

I think there's a law that they can only sell them to people under 25 lol. Cracks me up when I see a teenager driving a Subaru with one of these. Rarely see them on a real car, at least around here.

... I have a subaru with gauges (boost and EGT actually)... they work too
While I will be buying a C5 shortly, my STI would likely run circles on a road course and 1/4 mile around about 50% of the C5s here.
So just think before you speak sir.

I'd say maybe 35% of the c5's but they are owned by old guys who drive them to the early bird breakfast at the diner on sunday anyways....Mr.sti

My father is one of them. However I can't deny how fun driving a C5 like it SHOULD be driven on the track, so I'm finally (after turbo civics, LS1 SS Camaros, 350Zs, and STIs, etc) biting the bullet and buying a Black 6MT C5.
Maybe I'll break a little of the stigma you're speaking of
The only car that honestly whipped my A$$ lately was a STI with a turbo as big as a trash can lid, alcohol injection and a cooler as big as my radiator! The guy has 20K in mods and its a bad a$$ ride. He gave me a ride in it and my jaw dropped down to the floor board.
My current MOD session should even the score!
Patriot stage II Heads , ARP head studs, 40 lb/hr injectors, whiplash cam, ported FAST90/ ported 90 mm TB, new tune and some better wider tires!!!
If I get beat too bad, Ill just throw on a supercharger!
Those people that know how to mod those rice burners actually have some ***** but the kids that drive them around (my friends) think they have fast cars when I could destroy them with my corvette and so could my friend with his GTO. Actually the new rice burner age is the audi (possibly the biggest piece of garbages) no offense to anyone who has one but they are not sports cars. They are luxury sedans with a little bit of power but in all honesty they are nothing special without some serious mods.

Hey, I resemble that remark. I'm a 1938 model and I drive my C5 at VIR. BTW, there are 2 Ducati 900s and a Ducati 907 parked next to my 99 C5 Coupe. Old doesn't always mean slow. I hate slow! Slow really sucks.
