Starting Problem
I've imported a C5 coupe to Sweden and had it for a year. I've been plagued by every "common" problem you could list. (Dim AC display, column lock steering...) Those I've fixed, but I keep having persistant problems starting this thing.
Last summer it would stall after reaching a certain speed, I learnt it was something to do with the steering lock and it thinking it was being stolen. So we left it in the shop and they "fixed" it. (I finally got them to admit they only switched out the battery.. what the heck?)
Anyway, I was doing fine untill a few weeks ago when it wouldn't start at all. It would click, click - from the enginebay and the passanger seat side. So I thought the starter was fine. Got it to the shop with a tow truck, they claimed the starter was bad and switched it. Started excellent for a few weeks, and now it doesn't start up every time I turn the key. I feel nervous about taking it out to drive. What if it doesn't start!?
I've read the no-start thread, but can anyone pinpoint me more so I don't have to go through the whole list of things? I've a new fresh battery and column-lock installed, it's not a pull key thing, the key and cylinder has been cleaned with alcohol.
Some words of where to start first would be appriciated!
