They should be fine, ready for a lot more miles. It DOES depend on how they were treated by the first/last owner. I still have yet to hear of a diff. going bad, though...they'll break under hard usage but otherwise last for a while. I'd check the fluid if the unit is still wet for particles etc..
My diff. was taken apart yesterday and it looked damn good considering how I treat it and the tranny shaft I just broke left peices inside of it :eek: I'm pretty impressed.
used units can be bought for much less mileage but abuse/wear is also a major factor......just fyi, but I picked up a set for $550 shipped, under 10k miles :)
