My Goodyear F1 supercar runflats are fine!
I have a wife that drives the car and runflats give me the piece of mind that if she had a flat it means that she can drive off of the interstate if that is where the flat happens. I have AAA but I cringe at the thought of the vette being dragged onto the bed. Seeing that so many people have a problem getting up on ramps I wonder what the odds are getting up on the flatbed. Anyone have that done?

Get some real performance tires and AAA. Run-flats are terrible.
My only complaint about the GS-D3 tires after being used to RunFlats was that in agressive cornering the sidewalls seem to flex and that produces a little "wiggle" in the car almost like it's about to break loose. Once you get used to that slight aggravation, they are quiet and comfortable tires.

need tires replaced on 07 z51, a6... got 14k miles out of them...
I am in CA and runflats emt original equipment are unavailable for z51 tire size.... One large goodyear shop checked around and found that he can get them in Canada, but they may not be exactly the same with same dot as sold in US. We also called goodyear in Akron Ohio and they are set to start a production run in June 08, so they will be available on west coast by end of June.
I have been asking other vette owners and Michelin pilot ps2 keeps coming up. Heard the pirelli run flats are much inferior to the goodyears. Seems the most common replacement out in CA, are michelin with the same speed ratings, over 186mph, but they are not run flats...
any other real options?? price is not the main factor to me, and even though the goodyears are pricey, they seem like the best choice...
I think I have the worst luck with flats. Everytime I get one, I'm usually all dressed up for a special event (parties, job interviews, etc.), and it is late at night and I want to get home. Anyone try to change a tire with your suit on at night when it's pitch black out, on a dirt shoulder, with a dirty wheel, in the rain? It happened to me with the Trans Am a few months ago, and it was not pretty. A few weeks later, I got a flat on the Corvette with run flats. I just drove the car home, and dealt with the situation the next day, in my lighted, warm garage with a floor jack. No muss, no fuss. That sold me on run flats. My cars are drivers. I also don't trust sealants for not gumming everything up. I'll stick with the run flats. It's a nice luxury.
So now I'm looking for the Goodyear run flats, too. How did the Discount Tire price compare to Tire Rack?
Yes,
For each of the last two years, in late April, Early May there seem to be no runflat or ultra performance GoodYear tires to fit a Corvette.
The first production run of the year seems to be in June.
My suspicion is they want to end the season with 0 inventory and ensure fresh soft sticky rubber for the tires they market.

I have been trying to get Goodyear runflats a pair of p275/40zr-18 and a pair of p245/45zr-17. Called Tirerack, Discount Tire and the GoodYear Tire headquarters itself. They all told me the runflats will not be available for another 6 weeks, nation wide.
Has anyone heard this?
That's true, but if you are in immediate need and have to have GY runflats, they are available through Sears stores or GM dealerships. The dealers are pretty expensive though.
