I have a buddy who wants to give me a SLP 85mm MAF to use. I have a stock 01'. I understand that a larger MAF sensor is not really needed until you get into the higher HP ranges. I also understand that the SLP reads faster and more accurate than the stock MAF(if I'm wrong about that convince me otherwise).
My questions: Is there anything wrong with doing this beside wasting 30 mins of my life? Do I need to do any kind of tune afterwards?
He also wants to let me borrow his 100 shot dry kit just to play with.
Save yourself the headache and stay with the stock unit. As far as the nitrous goes, without some way to richen the mixture and look at your A/F I wouldn't touch it. It might be fun. Or you may be getting a new motor.
