What shifter is the best for quickest throws? I'm a strong 21yr old so being stiff isn't really a worry for me but which shifter is going to yield me the fastest shifts at the track?
Honestly, not stock. How can you seriously say that? Any short shifter will vastly improve shift speed. You're throwing a shorter distance plain and simple.

Stock. Longer lever arm will be quickest. Shorter leaver arms look cool, but may not shift as quickly.
Hurst was what I was leaning towards, most people were commenting on it's "notchieness" if that's even a word and it's quick "in and out" feel....now to just find a used one.
How exactly does a longer throw equal a quicker shift?
Yeah....
The reason why the Aftermarket shifters are quicker is because the "ball end" of these sticks are longet that stock by about 3/4 inch..a equal stick throw (up top) results in more movement of the ball end of the stick
Fast shifting isn't about strength. I wouldn't even consider the shifter length to matter that much either. The timing and skill of the driver is the biggest(IMO the only factor) factor.

Hey Johnny, I have C5 PIGS FRC and when i bought it i couldn't believe how he could power shift that c5 piece of **** shifter. I have to say though,if ,and i say IF u can find the gears, that shifter went into gear a LOT easier than my B&M RIPPER. The B&M has a great short throw, and u won't miss the gears, but if u want to power shift it ,u'll be in neutral with a blown motor. I am definately going the route u suggested about the 2 .050 washers and try the B&M again and hope I notice a difference.

The skill of the driver is the #1 factor. However, shorting the shifter throw should be minimally quicker. Just think if you would have run .03 quicker - that 10.99 would have been yours - just kidding. Or am I confusing you with fartpipe...I just can't remember.
