Im about to tackle replacing my wiper motor on my 99 . The question i have is the wipers do not auto park and still work on the high setting do i need to replace the motor also or just the circuit card on the motor
The motor controller controls that. You probably have clogged drain udders in the well that the motor sits in.
Reach your hand in between the brake booster and the fender and feel for the udders. If there hard, there full of junk!
I would check that and See if you can let it dry out. I disassembled mine and used WD-40 to flush out the water. It worked fine after the flush. If you are going to replace the controller or disassemble and clean let me know. There a tricky part that you need to know about.
Thanks for the reply i have allready clean the udders out wasnt all that bad has been very dry for a week now still no change i plan to take apart and look
mine were like yours--replaced the motor and nothing. the wash button on the end of the stalk was a tad crooked. straightened it out and everything worked fine.
Set your wipers to delay and turn off the key when they are at " inner wipe" or delay park then mark the tip of the baldes with masking tape on the windshield. When you go to re-install the cam unto the motor, make sure the park lever is 4 to 5 mm from the parking tab.
I went round and round ( no pun intended ) with mine to finally get it installed correctly, here I hadn't had the wipers in the inner-wipe position!
