These are definitely very well made units! The butterfly actually seals against an o-ring machined into the valve body. The shaft also pivots on small roller bearings, which are themselves sealed with o-rings. Me likey.
What about the tune? I read about the rpm switching set up for the cutouts. What is everyone experiencing? Is this only a big issue on Forced Air cars? How many of you are just using the manual switch? I am not really sure I understand how if you are tuned without the cutouts and you put them on, the car could lean out enough with them open to cause damage to the motor. I need hear from more people on this.
Looks like there is very little room for a Transmission / Differential Brace in these pics. Would there be room if they are turned down a little? Anyone running these with a RPM brace???

I had my car tuned with them open. Now to add to what you are asking. My car saw a difference of 5 rwhp with the cutouts open vs closed and little change on the AFR. They are further back in the exhaust and really just eliminate the mufflers from the setup when open. Mine are mounted under the trans and I have the DTE brace back there as well.
